Every City Improvement Needs a Heavy Duty Cable Protector

If you are ever sitting in traffic or having to find side streets to get to work, then your city is likely undergoing some form of construction. Whether it is fixing streets, connecting streets to the highways, or building new residential properties, when construction has to happen, everyone in the surrounding area becomes involved. Neighbors awaken to the sound of equipment working, businesses have to maneuver their customers around and drivers have to be cautious when navigating around construction sites and workers.

One of the biggest problems that comes along with civic improvement is that so often, drivers and other forms of transportation can have a negative effect on the work site. Many motorists are too busy text messaging or fiddling with their bluetooth to be looking out for pieces of equipment or the busy employee. For many larger forms of transportation, like buses and trucks, trying to navigate around tight spots where construction is happening is a hit or miss kind of game.

When construction crews leave important pieces of equipment like hoses and cables exposed, they can be quickly damaged thanks to outside variables. Sometimes, these important pieces of the project are left out in the open, sometimes they are placed under stacks of spare plywood. Either way, it is a dangerous and unreliable way to protect these necessary components.

Local city governments and the contractors they employ need to be aware of the major safety problems that are created when not using a heavy duty cable protector. Industrial traffic is the biggest enemy to cables and hoses. WIthout proper protection, these tools are easily damaged and workers are put into harm’s way. After enough fraying and wearing away, exposed cables are like a livewire, ready to hurt the closest thing, which is usually an employee. And hoses that become cracked, bent and broken are useless and usually make a bigger mess than the one they are trying to contain.

Instead of using the old wooden boards, cities and contractors should use Brahman Systems heavy duty cable protectors in their civic improvement projects. Our drive over ramps are designed to withstand the weight and pressure of industrial traffic, tested up to 65 tons and made with unbreakable steel. Our patented design cable and hose protectors are easy to install and once they are where you want them, no maintenance of upkeep at all! The benefits of cable protectors are many but the affordability of Brahman’s boards is often the most surprising part of all. Our price is much lower than the cost of replacing cable and hoses and fixing expensive equipment or the price of your employee’s safety so call today and find out how Brahman Systems can make a safer, more efficient worksite for you.

After a few years of diligent savings, there are a numbers of avenues that a family can take with their savings. Maybe take that dream vacation to Europe you’ve always wanted? Maybe get that luxury car you’ve always had your eye on? These are great ideas but for many families, a more practical approach to spending savings has always been improving their home.

Improving and updating a home can have a multitude of benefits for families. You can increase the value of a home, helping to increase your equity, and make your quality of life better. While some may decide to find a new home altogether, when you improve your own home, you save the hassle and cost of looking, bidding and moving. Updating your current home may sound like the better idea but there are some frustrating moments of any home improvement project.

To begin, you need to draw out a plan. Working with a professional contractor or decorator would probably be your best bet. They can help you to find the maximum space within your budget. Don’t be alarmed if they tell you that “wall need to torn down” and “plumbing re-done” or “lose this room” etc. Sometimes, you just need to visualize the plan until you see it coming together.

Another major complaint for those making additions to their home is “I didn’t realize how long the demolition would take.” Demolition is a common aspect of an addition ironically. You have tear some things down in order to make something new and useful. Unfortunately, unless you can afford to spend weeks in a hotel, you and your family are going to be right in the middle of the construction.

It’s not easy, quiet or clean in case you were wondering. And if you are working with those that are certified to do this kind of work, your home and family could be in real danger. In construction sites, there is debris, tools and equipment, all of which can become dangerous instruments around adults and little ones. If you are adding a bathroom in your new addition, plumbing can be a major source of frustration. Depending on whether your home uses your city’s sewage system or a septic tank, plumbing can cause problems like flooding, water damage, and loss of water for weeks at a time.

Make sure that the contractor you are working with uses hose protection ramps from Brahman Systems. Hoses are a common sight in any renovation projects. They transport water, air and debris out of your home but they can become a tangled mess if no one is keeping track of them. They can also become a tripping spot if they are not properly segregated into hose protection ramps. Keep your feet on the ground and the equipment safe with the right protection.

Other common problems during the renovation time is that projects almost always take longer than expected. Take the time frame that your contractor has given you and add an additional two weeks to that time frame. There are always unexpected hiccups in a construction project. You may find out that an original plan has to be re-designed or that an accident occurs and pushes back your finish date. Remembing, getting the right hose protection ramps will help you safeguard against this. There is always something so be prepared and do as much as you can to offset any potential problems.

Just remember that it will all be worth it when you ‘re finished and have the beautiful addition to your home.

Hose Protectors Protect Your Bottom Line

Whether you are working on a construction site or renovating a home, hose protectors are essential to protecting valuable equipment and keeping unseen costs low.

With any large-scale project, having the best equipment is the preferred method. For many companies, protecting the hose lines is an inconsequential cost. Hoses that transport materials of all kinds are only protected with rudimentary plywood boards placed atop the hose. Or the hose is left to it’s own defense against the weight and damage of industrial vehicles, employee traffic and other factors.

The problem with cutting costs in this situation is that you could be doing yourself a much larger disservice by trying to nickel and dime your project. Instead of using wooden boards or nothing at all, using a product like Brahman Systems hose protectors will keep your projects on schedule and they can save you from the frustration of those unforeseen expenses.

During a home renovation, especially if you live in an historical or older home, the plumbing in your dwelling may need an update. Hose protectors are used to help transfer the water line from your home into another area or to help regulate the septic line in the proper way. Let’s imagine that this line was severed or damaged thanks to your contractors bulldozer, what do you imagine will happen? A flooded yard, higher water bill, additional costs to stem the flow and your project’s finish date will probably have to be pushed back. If hoses are protected in the home, the final result can be even worse. When a hose line is damaged, water can pour into your home causing flooding damage and the possibility of toxic mold.

Pushing back the finish date on any construction project is additional cost. When water lines break on a larger scale, like civic improvements, the damage is not only expensive but affects so many of the things around it. When water mains break, the flooding can damage businesses and homes in the area, interfere with the flow of traffic and alter the surrounding environment. The water lines to the homes and businesses in the area have to be stalled in order to stop the flow of water, the project takes longer than expected, and everyone involved pays more for a mistake that could have been easily avoided.

So skip the drama and the mess, instead use the proper equipment for the job. Brahman Systems boards are made with steel and can accommodate hoses of many different sizes. They have been tested over and over and can withstand up to 125,000 pounds. That is 65 tons! Brahman Systems’ hose protectors are the strongest on the market and are even patented because of their unique design. Not only are they strong but they are also easy to install, all you need is a forklift and you never have to worry about them moving after that. Available for rental or leasing, Brahman Boards are an easy fix to an expensive and time consuming problem. What Do Cable Protectors Do Exactly?

There are so many synonyms for cable protectors, it seemed appropriate that we explain what their capabilities include.

When you work on a construction site, you learn quickly that the first priority is safety. One wrong move or an equipment malfunction can cause serious injury or worse to the site and it’s employees. That is why Brahman System wanted to figure out a way to make construction and other workplaces safer. That is how Brahman Board were born.

The founders of Brahman Systems saw a need for a safer, more affordable and easier to install way to protect wires, hoses and cables. Instead of placing plywood and scaffolding boards atop these wires, hoses and cables, we thought that there could be a stronger and better way to keep these things safe. After much discussion and testing, we decided that using steel would be the safest way to product others.

After we figured out the materials, we had to test our product to see how it would stand up to the old standard of cable and hose protection. We kept increasing the load waiting for it to be unable to withstand the pressure and it kept protecting the cables and hoses. In our final test, Brahman cable ramps held up against 65 tons of pressure. We knew then that we had a product that could handle industrial equipment like bulldozers, tractor-trailers and other machinery with ease, unlike plywood or spare lumber.

After realizing the strength of these steel-reinforced boards, we submitted our design for patenting. Once we had the patent, everything else took off from there. Now we provide quality equipment for a number of industries from shipping, to construction, to the oil and gas industry. They are all using Brahman Boards so the real question is, why aren’t you?
